Cancer registry data for San Francisco (1974-85) were used toidentify women at greater risk of late diagnoses for breastand cervical cancers by age and ethnicity. For breast cancer,Black women were at greater risk for late diagnoses. For cervicalcancer, women of all ethnic groups ages 50-69 years and Japaneseand Filipino women were at greater risk for late diagnoses.
