The editors of the AJPH are delighted to honor our colleague and friend Theodore (Ted) M. Brown, PhD as "the reviewer who has done the most to strengthen papers prior to publication in the service of public health." His service was especially critical this year as fellow department editor for historical contributions, Elizabeth Fee, PhD, was on medical leave for the majority of time. In generous compensation, Ted gave more than 200% effort to his review of all of the submissions to the history departments.
